A.K.A: Super-VHS, SVHS, S-VHS. Improperly named by some people S-video.
Used for: Consumer and industrial VCR-s and camcorders. Backward compatible with VHS.

Magnetic tape used:  12.7 mm magnetic tape, superior oxide formulation than VHS
Manufacturers: JVC, Panasonic, Aiwa and many others.
Video recording: helical scan
Audio recording: 2 linear , HI-FI and PCM
